ESM integration with PowerSchool
Integration ensures continuous access to ESM’s eProcurement platform
ESM’s spend management solution seamlessly connects with PowerSchool, a leading K-12 technology platform that includes cloud-based finance, HR and payroll applications and its popular student information system.
The integration ensures that PowerSchool users have easy access to ESM’s most current eProcurement platform, which gives school systems and other organizations full control and visibility of their spend with an intuitive online shopping solution.
This latest integration comes about 18 months after PowerSchool acquired Sungard K-12 to provide comprehensive solutions for K-12 systems. For many years, ESM’s legacy eProcurement platform, eSchoolmall, had integrated with Sungard’s ERPs - BusinessPLUS and eFinance Plus.
Today, ESM and PowerSchool have extended the partnership to enhance integration of both BusinessPLUS and eFinance Plus with ESM’s eProcurement solutions. Several school districts are already the new functionality between PowerSchool and ESM, including Montrose Area School District, Neshaminy School District and Parkland School District.
With ESM Purchase, users get:
- An easy-to-use online shopping portal that includes only a users’ approved contracts and negotiated vendors.
- An updated user interface that looks just like any e-commerce shopping platform and includes quick links to favorite and preferred items, common product categories and suppliers.
- Automated workflows that reduce errors and can configure to an organization’s specific needs.
- The opportunity to drive more transactions through the system to increase on-contract spend, improve visibility, and extend proactive management of how budget dollars are spent.
With its Unified Classroom approach, PowerSchool serves more than 32 million students, 65 million parents and nearly 100 million users around the world. ESM is working with additional ESM users as they move to ESM Purchase to take advantage of this new integration.
“We know many of our customers rely on PowerSchool,” ESM CEO Anthony Rotoli said. “We’re looking forward to migrating more ESM customers over to ESM Purchase. And we also hope to make new connections with PowerSchool users who are looking for an eProcurement solution.”
