Florida A&M extends its relationship with ESM for spend management
University relies on ESM’s intuitive online shopping solution
Florida A&M University will extend its contract with ESM to continue to reap the rewards of an intuitive automated procurement solution that streamlines workflows and saves users money.
Florida A&M, often called FAMU, is a public, historically black university in Tallahassee ,FL.., that serves more than 9,500 students..
FAMU signed on with ESM in 2012 to take advantage of its eProcurement platform integrated with PeopleSoft, and which features an e-commerce shopping portal that’s familiar to anybody who has shopped online before. With it, organizations can give their users direct access to their approved vendors and negotiated contracts to ensure they are getting the best prices.
The portal also lets users:
Guide spend toward strategic sourcing requirements, such as minority and women-owned businesses and local or sustainable vendors.
Turn procurement into a revenue stream by increasing the use of P-cards to maximize rebates. Some customers more than pay for the solution with the money they earn just from rebates.
Gain complete visibility into their spend as every transaction is tracked through the system for future reporting. These detailed management reports give organizations the information they need to boost their negotiating power, consolidate vendors and find new ways to drive savings.
“We work hard to meet the needs of all of our customers, and it’s always a good day when one of them decides to stick with us,” ESM CEO Anthony Rotoli said. “We’re delighted FAMU is staying in the ESM family. We look forward to continuing to help them meet - and beat - their goals.”
