Pennsylvania K-12 system to automate contract management with ESM
School District of Lancaster is set for new levels of efficiency
The School District of Lancaster will soon expand its use of ESM’s spend management tools to automate its contract management processes and take advantage of new efficiencies, including electronic signatures.
Based in Lancaster, Pa., the school system is the second oldest district in the state and serves a diverse population of about 11,500 students on 18 campuses and other sites across the region.
The district will move from a homegrown system, which relied heavily on Excel spreadsheets, to ESM’s cloud-based contract management solution.
For Lancaster, benefits will include:
- Quick implementation of a configurable and intuitive tool that easily molds to their existing workflows.
- Integration with DocuSign, which will allow for electronic signatures on documents. No longer will they need to chase down physical signatures to move a contract along.
- Automated reminders and notifications about expiration dates for both contracts and related certifications, which suppliers are required to maintain for agreements to remain valid.
- And, a flexible foundation so they can continue to evolve their contract management practices.
The School District of Lancaster is part of the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13, an education service agency in Pennsylvania which already utilizes ESM’s bidding and purchasing tools.
“Our easy-to-use and quick-to-implement spend management solutions work for organizations of all sizes, and they are affordable,” ESM CEO Anthony Rotoli said. “We look forward to seeing the School District of Lancaster uncover new efficiencies and even new ways to save with automated contract management.”
