Villanova to deploy ESM’s bids and solicitation solution
Collaborative tool automates organization’s sourcing activities
Villanova University an long term partner of ESM since 2008 will now implement ESM’s flexible sourcing solution, automating its bids and solicitation processes to reduce time-intensive manual tasks and boost savings along the way.
Villanova is a private research university in Radnor Township, Pa., a suburb of Philadelphia. It serves nearly 11,000 students, holds an endowment of $645 million and was crowned the NCAA basketball champion in 2016 and 2018.
ESM’s cloud-based sourcing tools will allow Villanova to build a collaborative online marketplace between buyers and suppliers, take advantage of faster online bidding with its chosen suppliers and increase efficiency and accuracy.
The platform supports a variety of sourcing events, including RFPs, RFQs, sealed bids and tenders; can configure to an organization’s unique needs and workflows; and includes a library of contract templates.
With it, users also can weigh each section of an RFx based on their strategic sourcing requirements, such as mandates to hire minority-owned businesses or purchase sustainable products.
“Our solution lets users truly transform their sourcing activities, streamlining the work that it takes to find the products and services they need,” ESM CEO Anthony Rotoli said. “We are eager to see what gains Villanova makes as they deploy our Sourcing software along with our ESM Purchase solution.”
